Dog lovers, get ready — the pawty of the year is returning to Bondi Pavilion as Bondi Festival’s much-loved Pavilion Paw Parade takes over the courtyard on Saturday 11 July.

This free community event celebrates Bondi’s famous dog-loving culture with a fun-filled day dedicated to pups, their humans and everyone who simply loves dogs. Hosted by Bondi local and dog lover Pat Doherty, expect plenty of laughs, wagging tails and unforgettable moments throughout the day.

Even if you don’t have a dog of your own, everyone is welcome to join in the fun — just borrow a furry friend or come along to enjoy the atmosphere.

The highlight of the day is the hilarious Paw Parade competition, where dogs of all shapes, sizes and personalities can strut their stuff across six entertaining categories:

  • Take Me to the Toy Store – for the tiniest toy breeds
  • Size Matters – celebrating the big dogs
  • Best Dressed – whether it’s the pup, the owner or both
  • Party Tricks – 90 seconds to impress the crowd
  • Not Too Big, Not Too Small, Just Right – for medium-sized mutts
  • Best Personality – for the dogs that simply shine

Registrations open from 9am on the day in the Bondi Pavilion Courtyard.

There’s also plenty happening beyond the parade itself, including professional Dog Portrait Photography with Kevin Case, where pet owners can capture beautiful keepsake photos of their furry companions.

Families can also join the Bondi Pavilion Clay Studio’s “Sculpt A Pup” activity, where kids and adults can create their very own clay puppy to either take home or add to a special community “doggy park” art installation.

Visitors can also browse the Paw Parade Market, packed with specialty stalls featuring dog treats, accessories, outfits, toys and goodies for every pampered pooch.

Whether your dog is glamorous, goofy, talented or simply adorable, the Pavilion Paw Parade promises a fun day out for the whole family at one of Sydney’s most iconic beachside locations.
