Families across Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs are invited to come together and celebrate the incredible contributions of women at a special International Women’s Day community event in Woollahra on Sunday 8 March 2026.
Hosted at the Vaucluse Bowling Club and Community Facility from 10am to 12pm, this free event is being delivered in partnership with Holdsworth and promises a fun morning filled with entertainment, activities and community connection.
International Women’s Day is a global celebration that recognises the achievements of women while highlighting the importance of equality and support within our communities. This year’s theme, “Give To Gain,” reminds us that when we support and uplift women, the entire community benefits.

The Woollahra celebration will feature a range of family-friendly activities, making it the perfect outing for parents and children alike. The morning will begin with a Welcome to Country, followed by plenty of entertainment and interactive experiences.
Kids will love the Move and Groove show with Busy Izzy and friends, plus a special appearance from Maisy the Mouse. Families can also enjoy a visit to the Libraries Sparks Truck, which will be packed with free games and activities.
For those keen to get active, Woollahra Life! will be offering free 20-minute yoga and Zumba taster classes. If you’re planning to join the yoga session, don’t forget to bring your mat and arrive early to register.
There will also be musical performances from students at Vaucluse Public School, adding to the vibrant community atmosphere.
Of course, no community celebration would be complete without food. Visitors can enjoy free gelato, while a sausage sizzle and coffee van run by Holdsworth will be available for purchase. Donations from these refreshments will help support Holdsworth’s programs that assist women and families in the local area.
Holdsworth will also host a fundraising raffle with fantastic prizes, with all proceeds going toward initiatives that support women at every stage of life.
Attendees can also learn more about the Maternity, Children and Family Health Service, which is based at the Vaucluse Bowling Club and Community Facility and provides valuable support for local families.
This free and accessible community event is open to everyone and is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the women who contribute so much to our families and community.
