A Focus on Sustainability and Small Business

The Maroubra Beach Markets actively encourage sustainable shopping, with vintage and recycled goods playing a key role. Vintage stallholders are offered a significantly reduced hire fee to support the “reduce, reuse, recycle” philosophy and make sustainable choices more accessible to the community.

These markets reflect Council’s commitment to supporting small businesses, revitalising public spaces and creating more opportunities for locals to connect. With hands-on workshops, live performances and a welcoming atmosphere, it’s more than just a shopping trip – it’s a community event.

Mark your calendar for the first Saturday of the month and enjoy a morning browsing, brunching and soaking up the beachside atmosphere.

Due to the success of the Maroubra Beach Markets and following community consultation, a second monthly market has now been introduced. The Heffron Park Markets are held on the third Sunday of each month from 8am to 2pm at the Netball Courts, 54 Fitzgerald Avenue, Maroubra, giving locals two opportunities each month over summer to shop local and support small businesses.
