Last term, our school community was transported to the vibrant streets of Agrabah as our talented students brought Disney’s Aladdin Jr. to life on stage. The performance was a true celebration of the creative arts, showcasing the incredible energy, imagination, and dedication of our students.
From the dazzling costumes to the heartfelt musical numbers, every moment reflected the enthusiasm and hard work poured into this production. Our students shone brightly, embracing their roles with confidence and joy, and reminding us all of the power of storytelling and performance.

What made this event even more special was the spirit of collaboration that surrounded it. Teachers, parents, and staff worked hand-in-hand to support rehearsals, create sets, and ensure every detail was just right. It was a beautiful example of our community spirit in action – a shared effort that brought smiles, laughter, and even a few tears of pride.
A huge thank you to everyone involved in making Aladdin Jr. such a memorable experience. Your creativity, teamwork, and support helped create a magical moment that will stay with us for years to come.
Aladdin Jr. was a shining example of what happens when creativity, collaboration, and community come together. I am so proud of our students for their courage and commitment, and grateful to our staff and families for their unwavering support. This performance will be remembered not just for its magic on stage, but for the joy it brought to our entire school community. Mrs Kylie Brakel (School Principal)
From the very first auditions to the final touches on costumes, choreography, and staging, I was continually inspired by the incredible work ethic, talent, and dedication of the students of Holy Cross. Every student—class piece performers, lead characters and backstage heroes—poured their heart into bringing our school musical to life. It was an absolute honour to direct and choreograph this show. Watching these young performers grow in confidence and creativity was a joy, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we built together as a school community. Ms Donna Reilly Parrish (Creative and Performing Arts Teacher)

Working on Aladdin has been an amazing experience for me. I have enjoyed being able to connect with friends in a fun way. I can say this especially because I got the chance to be Aladdin. My quote would be (quoting Nike here) “Just do it.” All you have to do is step up. You might end up with something amazing. Gabe (Aladdin)

I feel incredibly lucky to have been given the opportunity to play Jasmine — a role I earned thanks to my voice, which I’ve come to appreciate more and more. I’m deeply grateful to all the people who supported me and helped me overcome my fears. Even when I appear confident, I don’t always feel that way inside. But stepping into Jasmine’s character has truly boosted my confidence. I’m thankful to everyone who believed in me and cheered me on throughout this journey. Aladdin Jr. will forever be one of my most cherished memories from Holy Cross. Lucia (Jasmine)
The minute I found out I was the Genie, I couldn’t stop smiling. Rehearsal’s were sooo fun and I cannot wait to show you what amazing effort we put in!! I learned to be myself and I got more and more confident going on stage and singing. This is an amazing musical and I am thrilled to be the Genie! IT’S SHOWTIME! Miwa (Genie)
