Hi mamas! I was born in Texas, worked in LA, and now I’m living with my husband and raising our 3 bubs here in Coogee. I enjoy spending time with my family on the beach or at a park, I’m passionate about fitness and reading fiction, I love to try new foods and restaurants, and I’ve recently launched a mum walk group for new mums to meet and connect, especially if they’re an ex-pat like me.
Where and how long have you lived in Sydney’s east?
I moved to Coogee in 2020, at the height of the pandemic and in the middle of my first pregnancy. My husband is Australian, and on our first date confessed that he hoped to raise his family here; after my first visit, I could see why! I love calling this beautiful country home.
Three words that describe what it’s like to live in the eastern suburbs?
Community, beachy, good coffee (oops that’s 4)
How many children?
4 year old daughter, 2 year old son, soon to be 1 year old daughter
Favourite Park?
Stan Windon Memorial Playground holds a special place in my heart because of the views, but I do appreciate a gated park such as Bangor park!
Favourite Beach?
Coogee, nothing beats grabbing a snack on Coogee Bay Rd then playing in the sand until dinner time.
Favourite kids friendly cafe?
Coogee Courtyard, they’re now like family x
Favourite Coffee Spot?
Madame & Yves, the best quiche I’ve had yet.
Favourite date night place?
Mr Wong, when we get the chance!
Where in the east have you yet to explore and would like to go?
I’d like to spend more time exploring the Milk beach area, once we’re past the stroller phase.
What would you like to see improve in the eastern suburbs?
More beach activations to encourage community meetups, such as a market in Coogee, or live music in the park on the weekends.
Favourite Local Shop?
San Sebastián, I visit way too often haha.
Favourite wet weather location?
Coogee Pav, a true mother’s gem
Favourite Local family Weekend Activity?
The beach! Free, fun, lots of sun and swim… bring on the summer months.
Work or SAHM?
Mainly SAHM with a bit of editing work on the side.
Motherly advice?
No one is better suited to be your children’s mum than you. Don’t forget that x
