This April, connect with Sydney’s rich First Nations culture by joining free Aboriginal Australian weaving workshops. Held every Thursday morning from April 3 to May 1 at Barangaroo, The Rocks, and Darling Harbour, these workshops are a unique opportunity to learn traditional weaving skills from the talented women of Ngumpie Weaving.

You’ll not only get to try your hand at a craft that has been part of life for local Aboriginal communities for thousands of years, but you’ll also gain deeper insights into the cultural significance of weaving. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to learn new techniques, these workshops will guide you through creating your own beautiful woven pieces while connecting with local culture.
