Ensuring your child’s safety on the road starts with a properly fitted car seat. Randwick City Council’s Child Car Seat Fitting Program provides a convenient and affordable way to secure your child’s car seat, helping parents comply with child car seat laws while giving peace of mind. Supported by Transport for NSW, the program offers rebates to Randwick residents, covering the cost of professional car seat fitting.
How the Program Works
By using a Transport for NSW Authorised Fitter, Randwick City Council residents can claim up to $200 per household each financial year to cover the cost of fitting baby and child car seats. This initiative aims to improve community awareness of child car seat safety and reduce the risk of injury on the road.

About the Child Restraint Evaluation Program (CREP)
The CREP initiative evaluates car seats for safety and usability, providing parents with independent information to make informed purchasing decisions. By applying public pressure, CREP encourages manufacturers to exceed Australian Standards for child restraint safety.
