The Waverly Library is organising an information evening about HSC help and setting up your child for high school success. This is an informative talk and hear from Educator Mohan Dhall, on how best prepare your child for the challenges and opportunities of high school. This event will provide practical advice, resources, and tips for success. Whether your child is just starting high school or is in the middle of it, this event is for you. On the night we will discuss:
– Understanding High Schools. How to navigate complexity and assessment tasks
– Peers and friendship groups: strategies for managing social relationships
– Negotiating discord and other chat groups
– Extra curricular activities – how much and what?
– Study and homework: AI applications such as ChatGPT, Chegg and other “homework helpers”
– Building resilience with independence
