I’m Anna, mum of 2 girls, Emily and Lottie and due with number three in July! Originally from Essex, I moved to Australia for a few months back in 2011 and ended up staying here! We’re currently living in Randwick & I run my own Healthcare Recruitment Agency, Health Personnel; www.healthpersonnel.com.au and connect many allied health staff from the UK and Ireland with roles here in Aus! A lot of my clients offer sponsorship around the Eastern Suburbs which is the best place to be right? As a working mum life is certainly hectic and is about to become a little more crazy for the forseeable but I wouldn’t change it for the world! (although ask me again in a few months when the sleep deprivation is at a high!)
Where and how long have you lived in Sydney’s east?
I’ve lived in the East for about 11 years since I arrived in Australia. Currently in Randwick where we’ve been for 5 years.
Three words that describe what it’s like to live in the eastern suburbs?
Family orientated, friendly, great coffee!
How many children?
2 girls and a baby on the way!
Favourite Park:
Queens Park, close to home, has a great playground and a coffee shop that sells wine!
Favourite Beach:
Clovelly, such a great beach for the kids!
Favourite kid friendly cafe:
Green Bean, the staff treat your kids like one of their own!
Favourite Coffee Spot:
Bake Bar in Randwick, lovely staff and fab chicken sandwiches!
Favourite date night place:
If it was down to my husband then it would be the Dog hotel!
Where in the east have you yet to explore and would like to?
I keep meaning to go and check out La Perouse, heard great things!
What would you like to see improve in the eastern suburbs?
More kid friendly cafes/ play areas, I realised over the last few months that there’s not many places to go when it rains!
Favourite Local Shop:
Bunnings! We always have an excuse to go and get something random!
Favourite wet weather location:
Puddles, anywhere!
Ritz cinema for a kids movie or Westfield pirate ship and then a cupcake!
Favourite Local family Weekend Activity?
Swimming lessons at Fit to Swim in Maroubra, then catching up with friends in Centennial or Queens Park. Sundays sometimes consist of a
roast dinner in the pub!
Work or SAHM?
Working mum, Director of Health Personnel, recruitment within the Allied Health space
Motherly advice?
Go with your gut! There’s a lot of advice out there but do what works for you! And the kids will sleep one day!
