Bring your friends and family and come on down to Randwick Council’s free live site at Heffron Park to cheer on the mighty Matildas, livestreamed on the big screen! Let’s come together as a community and support our awesome Aussie team as they compete in the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023.™

 

This is a great opportunity to celebrate girls and women in sport both here in Randwick City and across the globe.  It is free to attend the live site screenings, but booking is essential because spots are limited! You will need to present your tickets upon entry.

The following games will be live streamed on the big screen:

  • Australia V Ireland – Thursday 20 July, 8pm – SOLD OUT!
  • Australia V Nigeria – Thursday 27 July, 8pm
  • Australia V Canada – Monday 31 July, 8pm

Even though the games will only kick off at 8pm, you can arrive as the sun sets to join in on the buzz of the pre-game atmosphere, park your picnic blanket and dig into some delicious dinner and dessert offerings from the local food trucks we’ll have on site!

Plus if you join us on Thursday 20 July, you’ll be in for a bit of a boogie as local DJ Kate Monroe will warm up the crowd with some music from 5.45pm.

While their first three matches are confirmed, subsequent screenings will depend on the Matildas qualifying. As they are currently ranked 10th in the world, we have high hopes for their success!

We will also be screening the FIFA Women’s World Cup grand final match on Sunday 20 August at 8pm no matter who the teams are! Keep an eye on Council’s website and social media for details about subsequent screenings and the grand final.

Pack some picnic blankets and dress very warmly as the setting is outdoors. If you bring chairs you will be asked to be considerate of others and sit up the back. No tables allowed.

Please note this is a glass-free and alcohol-free event, and as much as we love your pooches this is also a pet-free event.  Bags will be checked upon entry.  Public transport recommended due to limited parking.
