Sydney Opera House to open new venue: Centre for Creativity

Sydney – Tuesday 23 November, 2021. The Sydney Opera House will open its new Centre for Creativity on January 4, 2022 – a purpose-built home for hands-on creative experiences inside the world-renowned building.The Centre will significantly increase the breadth of year-round participatory performances, workshops and installations, in line with the Opera House’s commitment to engage new audiences on site, in schools, and in homes across Australia and the world.It’s one of the final projects in the Opera House’s Decade of Renewal, funded by the NSW Government, and is the first new dedicated programming venue to open in more than 20 years….

The QVB Unveils Australia’s Newest and Largest Indoor Christmas Tree

The Queen Victoria Building (QVB) is ushering in a new dawn this festive season unveiling a brand-new  Christmas tree for customers to enjoy. Inspired by Australia’s native Wollemi Pine, one of the world’s oldest  and rarest tree species, the new tree celebrates the iconic building’s uniquely Australian history.  At 20metres tall and suspended from the centre dome to create a unique experience from the ground level,  the new tree will assume the mantle of Australia’s largest indoor Christmas tree, replacing the famous Swarovski tree that graced the centre for the past 16 years.
