Road safety works get green light after $11.5 million grant

The most dangerous local street intersection in Randwick City is set for a safety overhaul after Randwick City Council secured state government funding for safety upgrades across the City. Between 2019 and 2024 there were 26 collisions at the southern intersection of Anzac Parade and Franklin Street, located near the Malabar town centre, injuring 27 people – more than any other local road in Randwick City. The $4.7 million Transport for NSW grant will fund the installation of new traffic signals at the intersection.
