Located at Sydney Park in Erskineville, just outside Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, this impressive facility is the largest skate park in Sydney and has different areas catering for a range of abilities and riding styles.
Whether your kids love skateboarding, scooters or BMX, there’s plenty of space to practise their skills, try something new and spend a few hours outdoors.
Something for Different Skill Levels
One of the great things about Sydney Park Skate Park is that it isn’t designed only for experienced skaters.
The skate park includes an expansive plaza area with rails, ledges and banks, giving riders plenty of different obstacles to explore.
There’s also a beginner bowl area, making it a good option for younger or less experienced riders who are still building their confidence.
For more experienced skaters and riders looking for a challenge, there’s an impressive 3-metre-deep flow bowl where they can take their skills to the next level.
Skate, Scooter or BMX
It doesn’t matter whether the kids arrive with a skateboard, scooter or BMX bike – the park has been designed for different styles of riding.
For families with children of different ages and abilities, the variety of areas also means everyone can find somewhere suitable to practise.
As with any skate park, younger children and beginners should be supervised, particularly when the park is busy. Helmets and appropriate protective equipment are also a very good idea.
Stay for an Evening Skate
The skate park is illuminated at night, giving older kids, teenagers and adults more time to enjoy the facility after school or as the days get warmer.
From 25 September 2026, the City of Sydney is trialling skate park lighting until 10pm for six months.
That could make Sydney Park Skate Park an especially handy option through spring and summer when families are looking for outdoor activities later in the day.

A big bonus for parents is that this isn’t just a standalone skate facility. Sydney Park has plenty of facilities that make it easier to turn a skate session into a longer family outing.

There are four car parks at Sydney Park.
If you’re visiting specifically for the skate park, the Sydney Park Road car park is the closest.
Other parking areas are located at:
- Barwon Park Road – closest to the playground and brick kilns
- Euston Road – closest to Alan Davidson Oval and Sydney Park Pavilion
- Campbell Street – closest to the wetlands
Keep in mind that Sydney Park can get busy, particularly on weekends and during school holidays.
