The Golden Sheaf Hotel in Double Bay is back again with FREE activities for the kids on Sunday afternoons during the summer school holidays.

Mark these dates down in your calendar for three fun and stress-free Sunday afternoons with the little ones.

· Sunday 14th January 12:30pm – 3:30pm: Arts & Crafts. Unleash your creativity and craft a masterpiece to take home.

· Sunday 21st January 12:30pm – 3:30pm: Plaster Painting. Pick your favourite shape and paint colours and create a work of art.

· Sunday 28th January 12:30pm – 3:30pm: Face Painting. Transform into the superhero, animal, or fairy you’ve always dreamt of being.

To add to the fun, kids under 12 eat FREE on the above dates with an adult meal purchase. There will also be live music in their famous beer garden from 1-4pm every Sunday for the adults to enjoy while the kids play.

The Sheaf has lots going on outside of their school holiday activities, giving you plenty of reasons to visit throughout the six weeks of no school. Open from 10am daily, they have a spacious beer garden where you can enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner, with plenty of tables in the sun or shade. Plus they’re dog-friendly, so you can bring the whole family for a great day out.

Their Kids Menu is full of tasty options including beef sliders, grilled chicken, spaghetti, and fish and chips. For the adults, there’s an extensive list of dishes including share plates, steaks, burgers and salads, with plenty of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options available. Enjoy a large selection of tap beers, wine, cocktails and spirits.

If you’re after a special, Happy Hour runs from 4-6pm weekdays with $6 house schooners and wine. Enjoy $20 gourmet sandwiches available lunchtime weekdays, $20 steaks on Mondays, and a $20 burger and beer deal on Tuesdays. Live jazz has also been popular lately amongst the locals, on every Thursday from 7pm in the Garden Bar.

There‘s always room available for walk-ins, however bookings are encouraged. Head to The Golden Sheaf website for more information and to book.
