Storytime at Darling Square, 3 to 5 years

Looking for a free activity that encourages a love of books and helps prepare your child for school? Darling Square Library is hosting weekly Storytime sessions for children aged 3 to 5 years, offering a fun morning of stories, songs and social interaction.

Designed for preschoolers and their parents or carers, Storytime is a wonderful way to support your child’s early literacy development in a welcoming and engaging environment.

Inspire a Love of Reading

Each 30-minute Storytime session features a delightful mix of stories, songs and rhymes that encourage children to develop language, listening and communication skills.

The interactive program also helps children:

  • Please arrive early, as sessions begin promptly at 11:30am.
  • Storytime is also held weekly at Green Square, Newtown, Surry Hills and Glebe libraries.
  • The program runs during Term 3 (21 July – 22 September 2026) and does not operate during NSW school holidays or public holidays.
