Bondi’s most much-loved family event is back! From 17 October to 3 November 2025, the spectacular Sculpture by the Sea will once again transform the Bondi to Tamarama coastal walk into a magical outdoor gallery. For 18 days, families can enjoy more than 90 incredible artworks set against the sparkling ocean backdrop, making it the perfect day out to explore, wander and be inspired together.

Now in its 27th year, Sculpture by the Sea is the largest free outdoor sculpture exhibition in the world, attracting around 450,000 visitors every year. The 2km coastal trail will come alive with creativity, showcasing artists from around the globe in one of Sydney’s most breathtaking settings.

What to Expect in 2025

This year’s exhibition will feature artists from 13 countries, including Japan, Denmark, China and India. There are 36 first-time exhibitors, among them acclaimed Archibald Prize winner Tim Storrier AM.

Families can also look forward to seeing some familiar favourites:

  • Lucy Barker and Jane Gillings, both long-time exhibitors, will team up on a collaborative piece.

  • Drew MacDonald, last year’s People’s and Kids’ Choice Award winner for Sharnana, returns with another imaginative creation.

  • Shen Lieyi from China, recipient of the 2024 Aqualand Sculpture Award, will present a new work.

  • Seven artists who have been exhibiting at Bondi for over 20 years will return, including Ron Gomboc, Stephen King and Keizo Ushio.
