There’s something new coming to Bondi Junction this spring — and it could become a great regular Thursday evening outing for Eastern Suburbs families.
The Bondi Junction Twilight Markets will launch on Thursday 24 September 2026, transforming Oxford Street Mall into an evening market filled with food, shopping, live music and entertainment.
Even better, the very first market will be a special Moon Festival edition, bringing some of the flavours, stalls and atmosphere of Sydney’s Chinatown Markets to Bondi Junction.
A New Monthly Market for Bondi Junction
The Bondi Junction Twilight Markets are set to become a regular fixture, taking place on the last Thursday of every month from 4pm to 9pm.
Designed as an after-work and early-evening market, visitors will be able to wander through a rotating selection of stalls, grab something for dinner, listen to live music and do a little shopping along the way.
Expect an eclectic mix including grab-and-go meals, fresh produce, deli items, vintage fashion, boutique jewellery and more.
With different vendors rotating through the markets, there should be something new to discover each month.
First Up: A Special Moon Festival
The inaugural market on 24 September will celebrate the Moon Festival, giving the first Twilight Market a special theme.
The evening will feature market stalls from Chinatown Markets vendors, along with a calligraphy artist, entertainment and more.
It’s a great opportunity for families to experience some of the atmosphere of Sydney’s popular night markets without having to travel far from the Eastern Suburbs.
Dinner and a Wander After Work or School
For local families, one of the best things about the new markets could be the timing.
Starting at 4pm, you can head over after school, meet friends after work or simply take the night off from cooking and pick up dinner from one of the food vendors.
Stay for the live music and entertainment, browse the stalls or pick up some fresh produce and deli items to take home.
And because the markets run until 9pm, there’s no need to rush.

The new Bondi Junction Twilight Markets are being led by the team behind the Bondi Markets and Chinatown Night Markets, bringing their market experience to the heart of Bondi Junction.
Following the September launch, the markets are planned to return to Oxford Street Mall on the last Thursday of every month, with rotating vendors and different things to discover.
