Overcome by a sense of dread when school holidays approach?
How to keep your kids busy, interested and stimulated is a real challenge for busy parents, something startup entrepreneur (and Clovelly Dad) David
Vitek encountered when he stepped down as chief executive of tradie booking platform hipages.
The stay-at-home dad found himself juggling multiple group chats, messages and emails with other mums and dads, desperately trying to coordinate holiday
activities for his three boys.
Using this real-world frustration, and his background in the tech startup world, he set about building a platform that attempts to solve the logistical
headache he experienced first-hand and created Kidsbook.
Kidsbook is the result – a kids activity booking platform with a mission to easily book activities
your kids will love.
“I wanted to help parents avoiding the hassle of going through several providers. Kidsbook is designed to make life easy just by using our sites search
function you can filter activities by age, location, date and category,” said David.
Founded in the eastern suburbs, the majority of kids activities listed on Kidsbook are local, with plans to expand. With the platform adding new providers
daily, the ever expanding roster includes activities as diverse as kids surf camps, sports (soccer camps), gymnastics, STEM, coding, tutoring drama,
arts/crafts, cartooning, magic, cooking, dance, sailing, skateboarding and much more.
With strong roots in the Eastern Suburbs community Kidsbook also strives to ensure it meets the expectations of
parents and children to ensure their experience is positive and fun, with a strong focus on trust and safety, specifically:
1. Personally vetting and verifying every business before they list on the platform, either over the phone or in person.
2. Verifying activity providers have a valid Working With Children Check (WWC) before they list on the site.
3. Handpicking activities to ensure there is a wide variety of categories to choose from, so kids have access to the best of what’s out there.
To learn more and see what activities are currently on offer browse the range of kids activities, or connect with them on their social channels – Facebook
and Instagram where they profile new providers, run competitions and have fun!
