Looking for a meaningful way to spend a Sunday morning outdoors with the family? Join Woollahra Mayor Sarah Swan and the local community for National Tree Day at Christison Park, Vaucluse, on Sunday 27 July from 9:30am to 11:30am.

This much-loved annual event is a wonderful opportunity for kids and adults alike to roll up their sleeves, dig in the dirt, and plant local native seedlings – all while enjoying breathtaking ocean views.

Hosted by Woollahra Council, the event is part of a nationwide initiative to green our local spaces and support native wildlife. The goal? To extend vital habitat corridors for small birds and animals while beautifying one of the East’s most scenic parks.

All seedlings, gloves, and tools are provided by Council, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm! After the planting session, families can enjoy some light snacks, and the kids can take part in an interactive native wildlife program.

Whether you’ve got a green thumb or just want to teach the kids about caring for the environment, this is a fantastic way to spend a Sunday morning.

Everyone is welcome – just don’t forget to register via the National Tree Day website.
