Randwick City Council invites families to dive into the Marine and Coastal Discovery Program, running from 7–31 January 2025. This incredible initiative is packed with engaging activities designed to connect participants with the natural wonders of Sydney’s coastline. From snorkelling to birdwatching, and rainforest explorations to surf science, there’s something for everyone.
This Sustaining Our City initiative, funded by the Environmental Levy, celebrates the rich marine and coastal biodiversity while fostering community awareness. Guided by expert educators, these activities provide unique insights into the environment while ensuring fun and adventure.
Program Highlights:
- Snorkelling Adventures: Sessions for beginners and intermediates at Clovelly and Gordon’s Bay.
- Rainforest Walks: Explore Fred Hollows Reserve and uncover hidden treasures.
- Rockpool Rambles: Learn about marine life at Little Bay and South Maroubra.
- Sea Kayaking: Paddle through the serene waters of Malabar Beach.
- Birdwatching: Discover the coastal bird species at South Maroubra.
- Learn to Surf: Kids can ride the waves with expert guidance at Maroubra Beach.
