The Active and Creative Kids program is an initiative by the NSW Government to support families in covering the costs of their children’s participation in sports, recreational, creative, and cultural activities. Eligible parents, guardians, and carers can receive two $50 vouchers annually for each child aged between 4.5 and 18 years.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the vouchers, the following conditions must be met:

  • Residency: The child must reside in New South Wales.

  • Age: The child should be between 4.5 and 18 years old.

  • Family Tax Benefit: The parent, guardian, or carer must have received Family Tax Benefit Part A, Part B, or both, in the current or previous financial year. Eligibility for the Family Tax Benefit can be confirmed through the Express Plus Centrelink mobile app or the Centrelink online account via myGov.

Voucher Availability and Key Dates

Each year, two vouchers are available per eligible child:

  • Voucher 1 – 2025: Available now and must be applied for and used by 31 December 2025.

  • Voucher 2 – 2025: Applications open on 15 July 2025, and the voucher must be used by 14 July 2026.

Notably, if you have two unexpired vouchers, they can be combined for a total value of $100, but each voucher can only be used once.
