Calling all dog lovers! Waverley Council’s Dog Days Out is back this October, bringing together four-legged friends and their owners for a fun-filled community celebration of everything we love about our pets.
Taking place across Waverley’s four wards – Bondi, Hunter, Waverley and Lawson – this special series of four events is a wonderful opportunity for local families and their furry companions to get outdoors, meet other dog owners and learn more about keeping their pets happy and healthy.
Free Vet Checks, Fun Activities and More
There’s plenty to keep both dogs and their humans entertained at Dog Days Out. Whether you have an energetic puppy, a much-loved senior dog or a curious canine who enjoys making new friends, there’s something for everyone.
One of the highlights is the opportunity to connect with a local veterinary clinic for a free dog health check-up. It’s a great chance to ask questions about your pet’s wellbeing and pick up some useful advice.
Families can also enjoy creative arts and crafts activities hosted by Waverley Council’s Library team, while educational training sessions offer practical tips on dog behaviour, health, wellbeing and responsible pet ownership.
A Great Day Out for the Whole Family
Dog Days Out isn’t just about our furry friends. It’s also a lovely way to bring the local community together.
For families with children, the event offers an opportunity to learn more about caring for animals, understanding dog behaviour and the responsibilities that come with having a pet.
It’s also a chance to meet neighbours, chat with fellow dog lovers and celebrate the special place dogs have in our families and communities.
