Darling Harbour will host some of Sydney’s most beloved cultural celebrations under its Culture Alive program in the coming months. Tumbalong Park will transform into a vibrant hub for four diverse festivals, each showcasing unique traditions, music, food and performances from different cultures around the world, offering an immersive experience for visitors of all ages.

Experience the spirit of Serbia at The Serbian Festival (15-16 February) with delicious food, music and traditional dances. The Greek Festival of Sydney (22-23 February) will transport visitors to the Mediterranean with authentic performances, cuisine and live performances. Revel in an explosion of colour, live music and celebration at The Holi Festival Sydney (15-16 March). Finally, find peace and harmony at Buddha’s Birthday Festival (3-4 May) offering Buddhist ceremonies, cultural performances and mindful activities. 

SERBIAN FESTIVAL: TRADITIONAL FOOD, DANCING & MUSIC 

Sydney’s biggest Serbian Festival returns to Darling Harbour on 15-16 February, offering a celebration of music and delicious Serbian cuisine. The largest of its kind outside of Serbia, the free festival promises a weekend of traditional music, from soulful melodies to foot-stomping kolo dances, folk dance performances and Serbian cuisine like cevapcici and melt-in-your-mouth pastries. Interactive workshops and fascinating exhibitions showcasing Serbia’s rich history and traditions will also be on offer from 12pm – 10pm both days.

GREEK FESTIVAL: FRESH FOOD, HANDMADE CRAFTS & DANCING 

Get ready to say “Opa!” as the free Greek Festival of Sydney returns to Darling Harbour’s Tumbalong Park on 22-23 February from 11am – 10pm. Experience the best of Greek culture with lively dance performances and traditional music from the Xylourides Siblings, Nikos Zoidakis and Rena Morfi. Indulge in mouth-watering Greek food and drinks, from succulent lamb souvlaki to sweet loukoumades, and wander through the many market stalls showcasing handmade crafts and Greek delicacies. The festival will also feature face painting and kids’ activities for families to enjoy. 

HOLI FESTIVAL: BRIGHTEN YOUR DAY WITH THIS CELEBRATION OF COLOURS
The Holi Festival Sydney is set to bring spring to life at Darling Harbour over the weekend of 15-16 March. Join the joyous festival of colours and participate in the traditional throwing of bright powders, accompanied by live music and dance performances to keep the energy high all day. This lively celebration of unity and diversity through art, culture and colour also offers fun for all ages with family-friendly activities.

Visitors can revel in this explosion of colour, music and joy with various entry packages available – including free admission during select time slots.

BUDDHA’S BIRTHDAY: FIND YOUR INNER ZEN 

Experience peace and inner tranquillity at Darling Harbour’s Buddha’s Birthday Festival on the 3-4 May. This free event offers a peaceful and enriching celebration of mindfulness, compassion and culture. Visitors can immerse themselves in traditional Buddhist ceremonies, meditation sessions, and a variety of vegetarian delights. Enjoy eco-conscious activities, cultural performances and mindfulness workshops, all within a tranquil atmosphere that invites reflection and connection.
