Looking for a fun and creative weekend activity for the kids? Head to Waverley Library on Saturday 7 June for a special World Ocean Day Craft event – a hands-on celebration that’s perfect for children aged 4 and up.
Running from 10am to 4pm, this drop-in style craft day invites kids and their families to dive into the wonders of the ocean through art. Children will have the chance to make colourful sea creatures, including sea turtles and octopuses, using a variety of fun materials.
To add to the excitement, there will be giveaways like ocean-themed scratch art, stickers, and bookmarks – perfect little keepsakes to take home after a day of creativity.
This is a self-guided activity, so while there’s no formal facilitation, all craft supplies will be provided. Parents and carers are required to stay in the library while children enjoy the experience.
Held at Waverley Library, 32–48 Denison Street, Bondi Junction, this event is a great way for families to connect with the importance of protecting our oceans, while also having a relaxed and enjoyable day out.
No bookings required – just drop in anytime between 10am and 4pm and get crafting!
