Apply to hire new sports field in Alexandria

Your group, club or organisation can play on the new sports field. The City of Sydney Council is building a new multipurpose sports field next to Perry Park Recreation Centre in Alexandria. It’s expected to open in mid-2024. The field is a long-pile multipurpose, synthetic pitch that is suitable for rugby, Australian football, soccer and field hockey games and training. The field’s durable synthetic surface means training and play can take place in all weather. Field space is allocated by an expression of interest. You are invited to apply. Council endorses Malabar site for new bike park

Randwick City’s first dedicated bike park catering for mountain bikes, BMX and stunt bikes as well as scooters will be built in Cromwell Park North in Malabar. Randwick Councillors considered three short-listed sites at their 30 April 2024 Council Meeting including a Matraville site on Botany Rd and a Chifley site in the Anzac Parade median strip. Waverley Council has voted to publicly exhibit the concept design for the North Bondi Shops and Bus Terminus Upgrade and to encourage community feedback. Construction of a new netball shade structure begins at Heffron Park

Construction of a shade structure for netball courts at Heffron Park in Sydney’s east is now under way. The structure is planned to cover six netball courts and eventually also include tiered seating for players and spectators.
