Randwick City Council is making strides towards creating a new public walkway connecting South Coogee and Lurline Bay, with the recent purchase of a $4.9 million property on Cuzco Street. Waverley Council has officially launched its ‘Stay Safe this Summer’ campaign! Featuring Waverley’s lifeguards, the campaign urges the local community and visitors to take simple steps to stay safe whilst at Bondi, Bronte and Tamarama beaches. Waverley Council has the longest patrol hours in Australia, between 6am and 7pm every day throughout summer. Road safety works get green light after $11.5 million grant

The most dangerous local street intersection in Randwick City is set for a safety overhaul after Randwick City Council secured state government funding for safety upgrades across the City. Between 2019 and 2024 there were 26 collisions at the southern intersection of Anzac Parade and Franklin Street, located near the Malabar town centre, injuring 27 people – more than any other local road in Randwick City.
