The Australian Life Photography Competition invites both amateur and professional photographers to share their unique perspectives of life in Australia. This prestigious competition, open to Australian residents aged 13 and above, offers a platform to showcase stunning imagery that captures the essence of our diverse nation.

- People’s Choice Voting Opens: Thursday, 24 July
- People’s Choice Voting Closes: Sunday, 10 August
- People’s Choice Award Announced: Wednesday, 13 August
Outdoor Exhibition at Circular Quay The top 30 finalists will have their works showcased in an outdoor exhibition in Circular Quay from July 2025. 20 finalists will be selected from the over 18 category, and 10 from the 13 – 17 age group.
Finalists’ Rewards & Prizes
- Finalists’ Fee: Each finalist will receive $500 plus GST (if applicable).
- Grand Prize (18+): $10,000
- Under 18 Prize: $2,000 plus an OM System camera pack worth $2,499.
- People’s Choice Award: The public can vote for their favourite image, with the winner receiving an OM System camera pack worth $5,398.
Who Can Enter?
- Open to all Australian residents and permanent citizens aged 13 and above.
- You don’t have to be a professional photographer – amateurs are welcome!
- Entry is free!
