Welcome to Leafbud Montessori, an award winning nurturing Montessori and Nature Play family day care for children aged 3–6 years in my home in Randwick/Coogee.
About Me
Leafbud is guided by me, Natasha Rebuck. In 2025, I was honoured to be named the Regional Winner and a National Finalist in Family Day Care, recognised for quality care and service. This recognition means a great deal to me, as it reflects what sits at the heart of Leafbud: creating a calm, respectful environment where children feel safe, valued, and curiosity is nurtured.
As an experienced Montessori Educator (0–6 years, MEC Ireland), Birth Doula, and Mother of three adult children, I bring both professional knowledge and lived experience to my work with families. Each child and family is welcomed with warmth, reciprocity, and a genuine commitment to collaboration. I believe strong, trusting relationships are the foundation of a child’s growth and wellbeing.
Why Join Our Leafbud Montessori Community?
Grounded in respect, trust, and belonging, Leafbud supports each child’s unique rhythm of learning. We celebrate the cultural richness of our families and invite parents and grandparents to share stories, music, and traditions. Our mixed-age 1:4 group supports positive social and emotional development as children build close relationships, learn empathy, and practise respectful communication skills through cooperative play. Joining Leafbud means becoming part of a warm, collaborative community where families are truly seen and valued. Children leave with confidence, compassion, practical life skills, and a strong sense of self — ready to step forward as capable, thoughtful humans and life-long learners.
Our Program
At Leafbud, children enjoy a calm and enriching Montessori program that sparks curiosity and gently fosters independence. Our days are filled with meaningful real-life experiences — preparing nourishing meals, baking bread, tending our vegetable and bush tucker garden, and learning sustainable practices through hands-on cooking and gardening. These everyday moments nurture responsibility, resilience, care for the earth, and keeping our bodies healthy. Music and movement are woven throughout our program, along with nature walks and special community experiences. We follow the seasons, craft with natural materials, and integrate Indigenous perspectives.
