building environment where children develop strong vocal skills, teamwork, focus, and self-
expression through weekly rehearsals in Sydney and Western Sydney.
No previous musical experience is required for entry levels. Choristers sing in age-
appropriate, graded ensembles and progress at their own pace, supported by expert
conductors and a caring team. As they grow, children can access inspiring performance
opportunities, including appearances at major venues and collaborations with leading
Australian artists.
New choristers can try the choir with no commitment to enrol until February 27.

Sydney Children’s Choir is a place where children aged 6–18 can discover the joy of
singing while building confidence, friendships, and a real sense of belonging. Since
1989, the choir has welcomed thousands of young people into a supportive and
encouraging environment where every child is nurtured as both a singer and a person.
Weekly rehearsals take place in Sydney and Western Sydney, with groups carefully
organised by age and experience.
No previous musical experience is needed to join at entry levels. Children are gently
guided through the basics of singing, listening, and working together, while learning
focus, discipline, and self-belief along the way. As choristers grow, they are supported to
develop leadership skills and independence, always at a pace that feels right for them.
Alongside regular rehearsals, choristers enjoy memorable performance opportunities,
from local concerts to major venues and special collaborations with leading Australian
artists. These experiences help children feel proud of what they can achieve and excited
about what’s possible.
