Trying to manage your mental health on your own can leave you feeling frustrated and stuck. One of my skills as a psychologist is knowing how to best support you to grow a deeper understanding of yourself.
Once you know what motivates your emotions and behaviours, you can develop a strategy to manage them.
As your psychologist, I do everything possible to help you feel relaxed, comfortable and supported during our time together.
My person-centred approach to your therapy means I listen to you without judgement, and we work at a pace that suits you. I gently explore your unique life experiences to gain an understanding of your situation so I can complete your tailored assessment. Then we work together to find the most practical and effective treatment for you, whether you’re here for short-term or long-term support.
I use a range of evidence-based therapies including:
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Mindfulness
- Motivational Interviewing
- Solution Focused Therapy
- Psychoeducation
While each of these treatments is powerful on its own, I take an integrative approach. Every person is unique, and therapy works best when it is tailored to the needs of the individual.
