Our School Readiness Program is not just the year before school, but as soon as they enter our doors. Learning about self care and self help skills, how to communicate, socialise, problem solve and be resilient are embedded from the youngest of ages. This is done with amazing care, support and nurturing from our incredible long term educators. We do not have a turn over of staff, because every staff member here is passionate about what they do and feel a part of the extended Care-A-Lot family. Every child and their family that have attended Care-A-Lot are included in our nurturing community and they come back to share the amazing memories and stories of how amazingly their child settled in to big school once leaving Care-A-Lot.

Situated in Chifley, Sydney, Care-A-Lot was originally established in 1994 by Valerie Farmer. Her vision was to provide a high quality, affordable learning environment for families in the community. In the 30 plus years that have followed, Care-A-Lot has achieved an excellent reputation and has been the recipient of small business awards. Care-A-Lot attracts staff members who have a passion for early childhood education and who are committed to the culture of our service.
Our experienced team work collaboratively with families to build on each child’s needs and capabilities, encourage their interests, as well as celebrate and extend their strengths. With our smaller class sizes and a higher educator to child ratio rate we are able to provide the individual care needed for each child.
The Care-A-Lot team strive to provide a calm, safe and interesting learning environment where children are encouraged to think, investigate, explore and problem solve.
Through our diverse program, children gain new knowledge and skills, develop relationships and build self confidence. Our experienced and dedicated educators utilise a variety of learning and teaching styles which supports the learning needs of each individual child.
At Care-A-Lot it is important to us that we foster children’s social and emotional wellbeing by assisting them in building trusting relationships with other children, their educators and our broader community.
