The Bushrangers – Shelter Challenge is one of several structured school holiday programs running at Centennial Parklands this April, offering a full-day outdoor experience for children aged 5–12.

Delivered at the WILD PLAY Discovery Centre, the program focuses on outdoor learning, practical skills and nature-based activities.

Bushrangers – Shelter Challenge

This session is built around the theme of “shelter”, where children will:

  • Build shelters using natural materials
  • Test their structures through a water challenge
  • Explore the park to observe how animals create shelters in the wild
  • Participate in bushcraft activities, outdoor games and free play

The program is child-led, meaning participants help shape the activities throughout the day. While there is a structured theme, children may choose how they engage with different elements.

Details:

  • Dates: Wed 8 & 15 April, Fri 17 April 2026
  • Time: 8:00am – 4:00pm
  • Location: WILD PLAY Discovery Centre, Centennial Park
