Looking for something to do with the family this weekend? The Heffron Park Monthly Markets are back in Maroubra this Sunday 16 August, bringing more than 90 stalls, fantastic food, vintage treasures, local makers and plenty of entertainment for the kids.
Running from 8am to 2pm at Heffron Park, the monthly markets are a great excuse to get out for a Sunday morning wander, grab breakfast or lunch, browse the stalls and support local businesses.
And with free entry, free kids activities and dogs welcome, you can bring the whole family along.
Come Hungry – There’s Plenty to Eat
Food is a big part of the Heffron Park Markets, and this Sunday there will be 14 hot food stalls plus four food vansserving flavours from around the world.
Foodies can look forward to Dumpling Cheers and their handmade dumplings, Radici Napoletane serving wood-fired pizza, charcoal satay from Jom Malaysian Street Food, and paella and empanadas from Ola Lola.
There will also be plenty more to choose from, including birria tacos, Greek souvlaki, Turkish gözleme, Korean fusion burgers, crêpes and more.
Whether you’re stopping by for breakfast, picking up a snack while browsing or making lunch the main event, there should be something to keep everyone in the family happy.
Hunt for Vintage and Second-Hand Treasures
Love a good market find?
This month’s market will feature 14 second-hand and vintage stalls, giving shoppers the chance to hunt for pre-loved treasures and unique finds.
You’ll also find a wide range of local makers and stallholders selling fashion, jewellery, homewares, fresh produce and more.
Keep an eye out for some particularly young stallholders too. Kids from Chifley Public School will be selling second-hand toys, giving families another great reason to browse the pre-loved section.
Free Entertainment for the Kids
The kids aren’t being forgotten either.
There will be FREE kids activities, including giant bubbles and a puppet show, adding a little extra entertainment to your Sunday market visit.
Face painting will also be available, so don’t be surprised if you head home from Heffron Park with a butterfly, superhero or tiger in the back seat.
Dogs Are Welcome Too
No need to leave your four-legged family member at home. The Heffron Park Monthly Markets are dog-friendly, making them an easy Sunday outing for the whole household.
