Hi, I’m Tatiana Burkett, a mum of two — my daughter Sasha (4) and my little boy Zayndan (2) — and the founder of Sashaboo™, a joyful Australian kids’ brand all about imagination, bonding, and play.
My husband serves in the military, and since we don’t have family nearby, we do everything together — our days, nights, and adventures always include the kids. They’re our world and the heart behind everything I create.
I’ve always been passionate about sport and staying active — our family loves doing things outdoors, from beach walks and park play to any fun local activity we can find.
Sashaboo™ was born under the Aussie sunshine, inspired by our children playing near the ocean and my wish to create something truly special for them. We’re a very family-oriented household, and every moment together becomes part of our inspiration.
Where and how long have you lived in Sydney’s east?We moved back to Coogee in April, and it instantly felt like home — we actually lived here before having kids, so returning as a family now feels really special. It’s a place full of memories, sunshine, and community.

How many children?
Two — Sasha (4) and Zayndan (1).
Favourite park?
Grant Reserve Playground in Coogee — the kids love it, and it’s right by the beach, so we often grab a coffee and spend the whole morning there.
Favourite beach?
Definitely Coogee Beach — it’s our second home! The kids love running in the sand and playing near the rock pools.
Favourite kids-friendly café?
Barzura and The Courtyard Coogee— both have a relaxed atmosphere and are perfect for families.
Favourite coffee spot?
The Courtyard Coogee— great coffee, friendly staff, and always a calm start to our day.
Favourite date night place?
We’re big fans of the Coogee Pavilion — honestly, it’s our favourite spot for both day and night. We spend many family days there, and it’s also the perfect place for a relaxing dinner just the two of us.
Favourite local shop?
By San Sebastian in Coogee —
I love discovering all the little, interesting things they stock. They have such a beautiful and unique range; it’s always inspiring to pop in and browse.
Favourite local family weekend activity?
Beach mornings followed by brunch, long coastal walks with the kids, and a family movie night at home — simple moments that mean everything to us.

Don’t chase perfection — focus on connection. Every little moment with your kids matters more than anything else.
