FREE FIREWORKS, FAMILY ZONE AND A BIG SURPRISE SET FOR BONDI BEACH THIS NYE. For the first time in over a decade, New Year’s Eve is returning to Bondi Beach.
Fuzzy, the crew behind over 30 years of Aussie parties and festivals including Harbourlife, Field Day and new curated event series Listen Out Presents, are teasing a next-level experience on December 31 after securing the license to stage an all-new celebration on Sydney’s most iconic shoreline.
Details are still under wraps, but the team at Fuzzy promises a world-class event with global energy and a distinctly Bondi attitude. With a limited capacity and major announcements still to come, this one’s set to redefine how Sydney does New Year’s Eve.
Alongside the 18+ ticketed event, a separate free, family-friendly celebration for locals will also take place with a Bondi Beach backdrop, featuring food trucks, roaming entertainment and a 9pm firework display to bid farewell to 2025. While the event is free, locals will need to register to secure their spot.
Fuzzy has built a reputation for throwing unforgettable events in spectacular locations since the late 1990s, shaping some of Australia’s most defining music moments and skyrocketing Aussie acts to stardom along the way. And for those who know, this isn’t their first time bringing NYE to Bondi.
The New Year’s Eve celebrations will mark a return to the shores for a generation of music lovers who watched heavyweights shine in the same spot over a decade ago. This is a defining part of Australia’s festival legacy, bringing local residents and visitors together to celebrate the new year at one of Sydney’s most famous locations.
“This is a party we’ve wanted to throw for a long time,” said Fuzzy Managing Director Adelle Robinson. “We’ve got a deep history with Bondi, and to return on New Year’s Eve feels pretty special. It’s an iconic location and the perfect backdrop for what we have planned. We can’t wait to share more soon.”
The event is being created with the local community at its core, with plans to feature local performers, partner with surrounding businesses and support local charities – creating a new hub for New Year’s Eve celebrations outside the CBD.
“There’s no better place to ring in the New Year than at Australia’s most iconic and best-loved beach,” Waverley Mayor Will Nemesh said.
“Council committed to providing our residents and visitors with more festivals, events and opportunities to have fun in this beautiful and vibrant part of the world, and New Year’s Eve at Bondi Beach is a major part of that ambition.
“This event is destined to become one of the most exciting on the calendar and I can’t wait for the community to see what’s in store for the very first one.”
