Great news for local families – Waverley Library has officially gone fine free! That’s right – no more late fees, no more stress over overdue books, just more reading, more borrowing, and more fun for everyone.
This new change means that whether you’re borrowing storybooks for the kids, cookbooks for family dinners, or your next must-read novel, you can enjoy all the library has to offer without the worry of fines.
Even better – if you’ve been avoiding the library because of old fines, now’s the time to come back! Until 30 September, Waverley Library is clearing all existing fines. Simply return your overdue items, and they’ll happily wipe the slate clean.
This is a fantastic initiative to help make reading more accessible and encourage a love of learning across the community. It’s especially good news for parents managing busy schedules – because let’s face it, life happens, and sometimes books just don’t make it back on time!
With no barriers to borrowing, now’s the perfect time to:
-
Get your kids excited about books again
-
Rejoin as a member if you’ve been away
-
Explore Waverley Library’s full range of resources, from books and audiobooks to activities and programs
So grab your library card (or sign up for a new one), return those long-lost books, and start fresh. The team at Waverley Library is ready to welcome you back with open arms – no fines, no fuss!
