Looking for a meaningful, screen-free way to spend time with your kids? The Rose Bay Community Garden Working Bee, happening on Sunday, 20 July 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, is the perfect family outing.

This hands-on community event is more than just gardening—it’s an opportunity for families to slow down, connect with nature, and bond with each other. Kids can explore the joy of planting, discover worms and bugs, learn where food really comes from, and develop a love for the environment. Parents enjoy fresh air, friendly chats with locals, and the chance to teach sustainable values through real-life experience.

Gardening encourages patience, responsibility and curiosity, and being part of a community garden gives kids a sense of belonging and pride in something they’ve helped grow. It’s a fantastic, free weekend activity that’s educational, active and full of heart.
