Active8Kids is a dedicated recreational gymnastics and parkour facility in Bondi Junction ran by a team of qualified, nurturing and professional coaches. We give children aged 0-11+ the opportunity to develop a range of gymnastics-based skills through structured sessions and play based activities. Our brand-new centre proudly opened a year ago!
Our Kindergym classes begin with a circuit of large and small apparatus that focus on developing your little ones climbing, jumping and balancing skills. The coaches then lead the children through a themed group activity and cover all the basics shapes before heading into the ‘Bar Room’ to use our fantastic climbing frame equipped with monkey bars and rings! Kindy classes start from 18months old and parents and guardians are welcome to be in the class alongside their child.
For children aged between 0-5years, we have recently launched our brand-new daily drop-in soft play session Play’n’Move! You have the whole gym to yourself to explore and play! A variety of colourful hand apparatus and toys provide lots of mental stimulation as well as encouraging the use of fine motor skills. Parents oversee supervision for this class, but coaches will always be on hand to help.
For our afternoon classes, the children move around the gym in 20-minute rotations. The gym is set up with exciting drills and equipment to allow children to acquire and learn new skills; our gymnastics classes begin to focus on higher level fundamentals such as rolling, handstands and cartwheels. Our Active8kids class introduces a parkour approach, and looks at covering advanced climbing, swinging and obstacle courses. Our coaches always ensure that the children are safe, supported, engaged and working at the appropriate level!
Classes run in line with public school term dates Monday through Saturday and are all available to book online! We offer the chance to book ahead for the term or just drop in casually!
As well as classes, we also offer Holiday Camps for children aged 4-12 during the school break. Camps run daily 9:00am-3:00pm and each day is filled with exciting games and activities. The children will be given full use of our ninja, parkour and gymnastics equipment as well as the opportunity to do some arts and crafts. Children are required to be provided with food and drinks for the day, but we do have a tuck shop available for some extra little snacks if they wish to bring some pocket money.
The next holiday camp dates are Monday 8th April – Friday 26th April.
At Active8kids we also provide Birthday Parties! Our fabulous party team host children in a super fun 1 hour session of games, races and obstacle courses. You will also have full access to our party room for setting up decorations and refreshments. Parties are available on Saturday afternoons and throughout the day on Sunday’s. Each booking is for a 1.5 hour time slot and we offer packages for 20, 30 or 40 guests.
