Council kids’ program sparking a love for reading wins innovation award

A Randwick City Council library program for young children has been recognised as a top innovative service, at an awards ceremony held last week. Randwick City Library won a 2024 NSW Public Libraries Association (PLA) Award for Innovation in Outreach Services, for its monthly program Spark in the Park. The free program provides children up to the age of five with a range of themed activities in local parks across the Randwick Local Government Area, including storytelling, singing, and playtime.
