Camp Cove Kiosk BYO Alcohol Trial: Have Your Say!

Woollahra Council has approved a 6-month trial of BYO alcohol at the Camp Cove Kiosk for its patrons. The trial will run during the kiosk’s operating hours: from lunchtime to 7pm in summer and from lunchtime to 6pm in winter. This trial will take place from Tuesday 17 December 2024 to Friday 20 June 2025. The kiosk, located at the stunning Camp Cove beach, offers the opportunity to enjoy the responsible consumption of alcohol on the beach, and the licensee would like to offer patrons the chance to bring their own alcohol to complement the food service. New pathway makes Yarra Bay beach more accessible

A new 60-metre pathway made of recycled polyester offers easier access to Yarra Bay beach for pedestrians, wheelchair users and strollers. The mat extends from the grassed area by the showers at the south end of the beach to the high tide mark, with additional matting is available to be rolled out upon request for those wishing to access the water at low tide. Waverley Council has officially launched its ‘Stay Safe this Summer’ campaign! Featuring Waverley’s lifeguards, the campaign urges the local community and visitors to take simple steps to stay safe whilst at Bondi, Bronte and Tamarama beaches. Waverley Council has the longest patrol hours in Australia, between 6am and 7pm every day throughout summer. The campaign highlights the importance of swimming between the flags and provides advice on what to do should you get into trouble in the ocean, such as caught in a rip.
