Nannies by Nature is a Sydney-based nanny and babysitting platform connecting families with trusted, vetted local carers for personalised childcare that fits around real family life. From casual babysitting to temporary and ongoing nanny care, including school holidays and overnight support, families can find flexible care tailored to their individual needs.
Founded by Gabriela Patino, an experienced nanny and Early Childhood Teacher with 14 years of experience, Nannies by Nature was created from firsthand experience of both sides of childcare: from caring for children as a nanny to understanding what families need when welcoming someone into their home. This experience has shaped a platform that makes finding the right care feel more personal, straightforward and accessible.
About Nannies by Nature
Because finding trusted care matters, every carer goes through an initial multi-stage screening process, including an interview, verification of required checks such as Working With Children Check, Police Check, First Aid and CPR, reference checks and a review of their experience.
How it works
Casual & temporary care
Families post their care needs, and local carers who match the requirements can express interest. Families can then view detailed carer profiles, get a feel for their experience and approach to childcare, and choose who they’d like to book.
Regular nanny care
For families looking for an ongoing nanny, we take a more hands-on approach. We screen and shortlist carers who align with each family’s needs, then assist with organising interviews and trials so families can get to know their shortlisted candidates and find the right fit.
For all care arranged through us, families engage and pay their chosen carer directly, as carers operate independently.
Family support
Families have access to informative resources and guidance when joining the platform, covering important considerations when engaging a nanny or babysitter and helping them feel informed and confident throughout the process.
Nannies by Nature offers a more personal and flexible alternative to the traditional agency model, giving families greater choice and control when finding care, without the high agency fees.
