Set on the edge of Woolloomooloo Bay beside the Royal Botanic Garden, Andrew (Boy) Charlton Pool is widely regarded as one of Sydney's most spectacular swimming pools. With uninterrupted views across Sydney Harbour, the pool offers a unique swimming experience where you can enjoy laps while looking out towards the Harbour Bridge, Opera House and Mrs Macquarie's Point.
The centre features a heated 50-metre outdoor saltwater pool with eight lanes, making it a favourite for both recreational swimmers and serious athletes. There's also a 20-metre heated program pool, ideal for swimming lessons, rehabilitation, gentle exercise and families with young children. The main pool is heated throughout the swimming season and filled with chemically treated salt water for a refreshing swimming experience.
Andrew (Boy) Charlton Pool offers much more than swimming. Visitors can take part in Learn to Swim programs for children and adults, private lessons, squad training, aqua aerobics and a range of health and wellness classes. The centre also provides accessible facilities, family change rooms and shaded seating overlooking the harbour.
Opening Hours
Please note: Andrew (Boy) Charlton Pool is a seasonal outdoor pool and operates from 1 September to 30 April each year. It is closed annually from 1 May to 31 August.
