Book now for a school holiday adventure filled with exploration, discovery and outdoor fun.
Step into the world of Park Science – Mad Mappers, where children are invited to follow the trail, avoid the White Rabbit and make sure they don’t get lost like Alice. This exciting orienteering-themed program encourages kids to connect with nature while learning valuable navigation skills.

Designed especially for children aged 5 to 12 years, Mad Mappers introduces young adventurers to the basics of map reading and navigation through hands-on activities and interactive challenges. Throughout the day, children will learn how to read maps, understand landmarks and even create their own maps.
Once they’ve mastered the basics, it’s time to put their skills to the test. Participants will head out on a hunt for nature’s treasures, using their new knowledge to navigate their surroundings with confidence. It’s a fantastic way to build problem-solving skills, teamwork and independence — all while enjoying the great outdoors.
This program is ideal for kids who love being outside, exploring parks and discovering how to find their way in the natural world.
A Child-Led Nature Experience
Park Science programs are primarily child-led nature play experiences. While there are planned themes and activities, children help co-create each day’s adventure. This means participants may not always engage in every scheduled activity, allowing for flexibility, creativity and deeper exploration based on their interests.
