Get ready for one of Sydney’s most heartwarming community events of the year! On Sunday 16 November 2025, Centennial Park will once again transform into a pet paradise for Santa Paws, a free family-friendly day dedicated to celebrating our furry friends – all while raising vital funds for animal rescue charities across NSW.
Running from 8am to 1pm at Federation Valley, Centennial Park Dog Park (corner Grand Drive and Loch Avenue), Santa Paws promises a jam-packed morning of fun, food, furry faces, and festive cheer. Expect an exciting line-up of pet-friendly activities, competitions, food trucks, market stalls, rescue adoption zones, and even Santa photo sessionsfor your four-legged companions.
Highlights include competitions such as Waggiest Tail, Best Dog Trick (with treats!), Strike-A-Paws (dog fashion show), and the ever-popular Dachshund Dash. There’ll also be an online and onsite raffle and silent auction with fantastic prizes up for grabs — all to help raise money for animals in need.
Pet owners can also book into consultations and workshops with leading pet-care experts. Meet holistic vet Dr Caroline Kim for kinesiology treatments, get eye checks from Eye Clinic for Animals, explore intuitive communication with Animal Talk, and attend canine rehab sessions with the Blue Mountains Animal Rehabilitation Centre. You can also access personalised veterinary advice and dental checks with Vet HQ, join Bark Busters for puppy workshops, and learn animal first aid with SASH Vets.

Entry to Santa Paws is free, and pre-booked sessions start from $40, including consultations, competition entries, and Santa photos. Every booking helps raise funds for Ozzie Tails of Hope Ltd, whose mission is to support rescue organisations and ensure every pet gets the chance it deserves to be loved and adopted. Last year, the community helped raise nearly $70,000 — and this year’s goal is to do even more.
