The Beach House, Terrigal
Short description
The Perfect Weekend Getaway, 90 minutes from Sydney

For the ultimate family getaway it’s hard to look past Terrigal, the beating heart of the NSW
Central Coast for young families. Popular with locals and holiday-makers alike all year round,
Terrigal is a bustling coastal village with the warmth and charm of a small regional town, just 90
minutes drive from the CBD.
Detailed description

While you immerse yourself in all Terrigal has to offer, why not settle in for a stay at The Beach House. This stylish, newly renovated townhouse is flooded with natural light and sleeps up to
six adult guests (plus infants) across three bedrooms while the thoughtfully designed layout
means there is ample space for groups and quiet, cozy moments when they’re needed.

Located a leisurely 450-meter stroll from Terrigal Lagoon and moments further to the main
village, it has been designed by an Eastern Suburbs mum as a home away from home,
particularly for young families; think highchair, travel cot, kids’ dinnerware, toys, jacuzzi bath
and board games! Once the kids are taken care of, the balcony is a stunning vantage spot
boasting ocean views perfect for drinks and meals, whatever the season.

At bedtime, catch your zzz’s in one of the two air-conditioned queen bedrooms (primary has its
own en suite) or the twin room, with a pair of king singles beds. Thoughtful touches like a
Nespresso coffee machine (and milk frother), Netflix, linen and towels, Google Home with
Spotify, and a comfortable desk to catch up on emails, all give The Beach House a beautiful
hotel vibe. And two thumbs up for the double lockup garage, complete with direct access to the
house. Winning, even in the rain!

Whilst you’re deciding who to head away with, here are our 5 favourite things to do in and
around Terrigal:

1. Food, glorious food
If you’re keen to explore local dining options, Terrigal Beach House (ground level of the Crowne
Plaza)ticks our boxes for an early kids dinner. There’s a great cafe at the surf club, otherwise
Bellyfish is a local fave for brunch. And we dare you to walk past Daily Dough Co without
deciding a nutella cronut wasn’t on your to-do list!

2. The Skillion
The Skillion is a must-do for Central Coast visitors. It’s a natural landform at the southern end of
the beach high above Terrigal. With views back towards the beach and out to sea, its perfect
for whale watching! There are free BBQs and Terrigal Pavilion which is a new spot for food and
drinks overlooking the water.

You’ll also find The Haven here, a protected pocket of the bay popular with the littlies, and
ocean pool.

3. Terrigal Lagoon and Beach
The Central Coast is home to a few fabulous lagoons, Terrigal being one of the biggest. For little
people, it’s perfect for paddle play. You can hire paddleboats and standup paddleboards from
Terrigal Paddle Boats or pop into Maccoa for easy coffees or brunch.
At the beach, you can hire surfboards and boogie boards from Rabbit’s at the Surf Club. Also
look out for the fantastic beachside markets held on the promenade one Saturday every

4. Parks and Playgrounds
If you’ve had enough of the beach, nowhere does kids’ parks and playgrounds like the Central
Coast. Terrigal is no exception!
From the fully enclosed Parklife cafe and Rotary Park, with a flying fox, merry-go-round and a
gorgeous wooden pirate ship and ‘local secret’ Drummer Parry Park, to Banjo’s Skatepark, there
are fun activities for kids of all ages. The Central Coast Marine Park is right around the corner

5. Just for Mums
Mums, a weekend in Terrigal is definitely not just for the kids! Terrigal Beach House has a great
vibe all weekend long (and live music every Sunday). Or check out Pocket Bar for cocktails. For
special occasions, The Cowrie is a fabulous local gem with panoramic ocean views.
Or check out the popular Bar Botanica inside Distillery Botanica, 10mins drive from Terrigal.

Whether it's a family reunion or a relaxing retreat with friends, The Beach House offers the
perfect backdrop to a fun weekend away. Hope to see you there soon!
