Planning your next Bali trip and thinking of staying in Seminyak? It’s certainly a popular tourist destination and one of the most happening areas in Bali. The area offers a plethora of delicious restaurants, boutique shops, beaches, beach bars and plenty of family-friendly villas. Seminyak also contains
different districts – Oberoi, Petitenget, Double Six or Dhyana Pura. They all have their own vibe and thanks to Villa Finder here’s a summary of each to help you make a decision.
Double Six
For the beach lovers, the most iconic Double Six beach of Seminyak is located in this area. There are many beach bars, which provide comfy beanbags and parasols. The sunset view from this beach is amazing so many tourists like to spend the day just relaxing on the beach and enjoying a cocktail or beer. It’s a great spot for a swim and a surf too. There are some villas within walking distance from the beach, so super convenient for those tired kiddies.
Petitenget
This is the most trendy part of Seminyak with many famous restaurants and party places. The famous Potato Head club is located here – there’s great sunset
drinks and DJs. There are many hipster cafes and restaurants that have plenty of ‘instagrammable’ food. Biku, in particular, is very popular amongst families with young children. They have a special menu for the little ones which includes fruit tea in little teapots, pretty cupcakes, mini gingerbread men and finger sandwiches.
Oberoi
Oberoi Road is also known as “Eat Street” and is a true icon in Seminyak, featuring a stretch of delicious restaurants and a huge variety of food choices. Many family villas in Seminyak are located near Eat Street so you can just pop in for food any time you want. This is also the best district for some serious retail therapy – including clothes and high-end designers boutiques. For those parents who want to shop for the little ones – Kids a Go Go and Indigo kids are great places to find cute outfits. The well known KU DE TA Beach Club is also here, if you want to relax by the pool and watch the sunset.
Dhyana Pura
If you’re into a healthier lifestyle and vegan food, then this region for you. There are many vegetarian and vegan restaurants such as Zula Vegetarian Paradise and Tasty Vegan. Tasty Vegan also offers cooking workshops where the whole family can learn to whip up a healthy vegan meal.
